Eliza began working with my son 8 months ago just after his 2nd birthday. When we first met Eliza we were extremely overwhelmed and uncertain about what challenges our son might be facing after our initial assessment from the regional center. Eliza provides a highly structured, creative, nurturing and fun environment for our son. Her style helps children feel safe and confident in their abilities. In the past 8 months my son now can bead an entire necklace with beads of all shapes and sizes, is beginning to use scissors, is able to draw circles independently, feed himself, drink from an open cup... every goal we have set, Eliza has helped him meet. We are forever grateful for her teaching, love and care. She really does care. My son genuinely looked forward to seeing Eliza every week... he would run to the door when she arrived and would cry when she left. We will never forget Eliza! An incredible person and talented occupational therapist. Thank you!!!!

Ms. Eliza consistently goes above and beyond. At 19 months of age, our daughter faced daily challenges due to low tone and feeding difficulties. Ms. Eliza's extensive preparation, customized techniques, novel suggestions, and warm personality have helped our daughter excel, resulting in a smooth transition to preschool.

We are grateful to have had Eliza Hsieh's expert hands and mind guide our son's occupational therapy for the past year. She came highly recommended to us by the San Diego Regional Center, who covered the cost of this and other evidence-based interventions for our son until his third birthday.
Eliza's gentle, coaxing voice and calm demeanor instantly put our son at ease. Her consistent general routine during his sessions made him feel comfortable and confident that he knew what to expect next. The fun little variations – cute new toys, slightly challenging new exercises – made each session exciting. Eliza's ability to gauge our son's ability level, push him just outside of it several times during each session, and each time gently bring him back to easier tasks, allowed our toddler to stay engaged and regulated as he learned during his "playtime." One of his favorite topics was "play with Eliza" and he looked forward to our weekly in-home sessions.
Eliza made great progress with our son, who has nearly caught up with his peers and barely qualifies for ongoing occupational therapy. She has taught our entire family about how we can best monitor our boy's progress, and how we can help him reach his potential. We miss Eliza's energy and insights, but we are glad that she is now able to share them with another family.

Our daughter had been under the care of Eliza for over 6 months. Eliza was very patient and systematic and had excellent techniques to teach our daughter the right way to hold a spoon, scoop and eat food. Likewise she was also very effective at teaching her how to transition from a straw cup to a drinking water glass. Eliza used to bring puzzles and toys designed to improve her hand/eye co-ordination skills.
Eliza had a great knack for bonding with our daughter. Our daughter would look forward to Eliza's weekly visits and enjoyed being with Eliza (the whole hour would disappear without us even noticing). I would strongly endorse Eliza for her patience and skills with respect to OT.
